Description

Carol Torian is an artist and writer who grew up in rural North Carolina. Her work is influenced by nature, urban settings and social justice issues. She has always had a love affair with jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. Bloom Where You’re Planted is a reproduction of a collage that Carol created, and it is her first jigsaw puzzle design. In the work, the bloom has managed to burst forth from the littered ground to distinguish itself from its surroundings—demonstrating ingenuity, determination and strength. Putting down deep roots in the process that will allow it to grow beyond its current circumstances and reach new heights.
