To ensure that your dog gets enough calories, these menus contain non-protein sources of energy: rapeseed oil, potatoes, and coconut flour, a true superfood. These menus are deliberately free of fruit and vegetables high in copper, and are instead supplemented with three medicinal herbs: birch leaves, stinging nettle, and dandelion. These herbs are known for their positive effect on the liver and kidneys. This diet also contains pumpkin, which is said to support kidney function. Furthermore, it is grain-free, because grain components are hard for dogs to digest, meaning the process is more complex and costs them energy, which in turn can lead to the creation of toxins that put additional strain on the kidneys and liver.
