This formula contains all essential nutrients and amino acids, including taurine, L-carnitine, DL-methionine, L-lysine, vitamin B12 supplements, and many important ingredients.
The aroma of the kibbles is incredibly enticing and delightful. The main ingredients are organic sunflower seeds, organic peas, and organic soybeans.
Sunflower seeds – source of protein, contain Vitamin E to prevent/remedy dryness of skin; anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and heart-healthy properties.
Peas – are an excellent source of carbohydrates, fibre, protein, and many essential vitamins and minerals; great sources of essential amino acids and also provide benefits for the digestive system.
Soybeans – high-quality protein with a complementary profile of amino acids and vitamins.
ADD WATER
We strongly recommend adding water to dry kibble to increase your pet’s hydration.
To prepare moist food from dry kibble:
• Start by using a lower amount of dry food (than what is indicated above for your pet)
• Add 1-part kibble to 1-part water
• Let this mixture stand for at least 30 minutes for dry food to soak in the water (Use distilled water whenever possible)
Note: Check and brush your pet’s teeth regularly.
FIRST-TIME FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
Introduce your pet to vegan pet food gradually.
Option 1. When switching to Evolution Diet, gradually introduce it over a 1-week period (see diagram below). 
Option 2. Start by mixing 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast or vegetable oil into each cup of Evolution Diet. Pets adapt to the Evolution Diet with no added flavour after 1-2 weeks.
CAUTION: If the switch to vegan pet food is not done gradually, there is a small chance pets may vomit or get diarrhea.
NUTRITIONAL YEAST
For picky pets add some nutritional yeast (sold separately). Sprinkling nutritional yeast makes the food taste cheesy, a flavour pets love. For 1 cup of dry kibble, sprinkle ¼ of a teaspoon of nutritional yeast.
STORAGE
Store in an air-tight container in a dark, cool place after opening. The product is hydrophilic (attracts moisture), and if left in the open for an extended period, can spoil prematurely.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR CATS WITH DIABETES
If your cat has diabetes and is receiving insulin shots, please consult your veterinarian if Ultra Life is appropriate for your cat. Ultra Life has a very low glycemic index, which means that the amount of insulin your cat is receiving might need to be decreased and only your veterinarian should be able to assist you.
