The Rab Borealis Jacket is the lightest weight softshell in the Rab range yet it still offers excellent protection from the elements for active mountain use. Constructed from a Matrix single weave softshell fabric that offers great weather protection with the fabric being durable, windproof and air permeable giving high levels of breathability. The outer benefits from a DWR coating and it offers high levels of UPF protection. With the fabric having a two-way stretch the jacket offers great freedom of movement and is slim fitting.

The hood is suitable for under helmet use and has a lycra binding for a contoured fit to the face. The two YKK zipped pockets are designed for harness use with being highly placed on the chest and are ideal for keeping essential items close to hand. With the jacket being lightweight it is easily packable and can be stowed inside the left chest pocket. A half hem drawcord assists with keeping the jacket seated under your harness and lycra bound cuffs keep the fit snug for when the weather takes a turn for the worst.
