Keep your dog from moving around the car unrestrained. The snap hook attaches to the dog's harness (never attach to a collar of any kind), and the male seat belt attachment clicks into your car's female attachment. We've included a cam buckle lock so that after you extend the restraint to your desired length, you can lock it in place.
