This complete battery energy storage kit pairs the Solis 6kW hybrid inverter with two Pylontech US5000 48V lithium batteries providing 10kWh of usable storage. Designed for domestic use, the kit supports AC charging from the mains grid on an off-peak tariff, with the option to add solar panels at any time up to 6kW PV input. All mounting brackets, cables, fusing, and BMS communication are included.

Product Overview

The Solis RHI-48ES hybrid inverter operates as a grid-tied energy storage system, allowing the battery to be charged from mains electricity at low-cost off-peak rates and discharged during peak periods to reduce electricity costs. Solar panels can be added to the system at any time to further reduce grid dependence and improve self-sufficiency.

The Pylontech US5000 batteries operate at 48VDC with a 95% depth of discharge and a design life of 15 years. The BMS communication cable connects the batteries directly to the inverter, enabling automatic charge and discharge management without manual configuration of individual battery parameters.

The kit includes everything required for a standard residential installation. A CT current transformer for zero-export control is not included in this kit and should be ordered separately if required.

Installation and Safety Notes

This kit must be installed by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited solar installer. G98 or G99 notification and DNO approval must be obtained before grid connection. Battery wiring, DC fusing, earthing, and BMS configuration must comply with IET Wiring Regulations and the Solis and Pylontech installation manuals. Do not attempt DIY installation.
