The PicoBox gearboxes are designed specifically for FIRST Tech Challenge teams. These highly configurable gearboxes are a robust solution for teams to make fine adjustments to the output speed and torque of drivetrains, mechanisms and more. All PicoBox gearboxes are designed to work with other building systems that FIRST Tech Challenge teams are familiar with, because they are built to work around a base 16 mm center-to-center hole pattern. The flanges on the PicoBox gearboxes are reversible while maintaining a base 16 mm hole pattern.
The PicoBox Solo is a unique member of the PicoBox line. It's purpose is to provide a robust mounting solution for chain driven mechanisms with its included 16 tooth #25 series Ninja Star sprocket, and 6 mm bearing to support the end of a NeveRest Classic motor shaft. This product is ideal to pair with robot mechanisms such as arms, intakes, elevators and more!
Motor Input:
The PicoBox Solo is not compatible with the NeveRest Motor Only (am-3104) or the NeveRest Orbital line, as the PicoBox Solo requires the use of the NeveRest Classic gearbox as part of the motor input assembly. The PicoBox Solo accepts up to one of the following motors at a time: Individual Components within Kit:
- 4 x Nut, Nylock jam 1/4-20 (am-1102)
- 6 x Screw, SHCS M3-0.5 x 6 mm (am-1254)
- 4 x Screw, Hex Head, 6-32 x 1/2 in. (am-1436)
- 4 x Screw, Button Head, 1/4-20 x 1 3/4 in. (am-1420)
- 1 x 6 mm D Bore Double Boss Nub w/Set Screw (am-3215a)
- 1 - Sprocket, Ninja Star, 16T, 25 series (am-3282a)
- 1 - 6x12x4 Flanged Bearing (am-3377)
- 4 - Spacer for PicoBox (am-3406)
- 2 - Plate for PicoBox Solo (am-3440)
