The Rab Latok packs are super streamlined, lightweight climbing packs for alpinists and mountaineers looking to keep weight as low as possible. They may be stripped back Rab have put plenty of thought into the features they left on, so you get a comfortable and stable pack with everything you need and nothing you don't.

The Latok 28 is designed for superlight ascents, single day Alpine routes and general UK mountaineering. If you go very light you can get a sleeping bag and bivi plus your regular climbing kit and layers, but if you are going on a multi day mission we recommend going up to the Latok 38.

The Latok packs are constructed from 210 denier Cordura Ripstop with a weather resistant Hydroshield coating. This is reinforced in key areas with 410 denier material. This part recycled material is tough, lightweight and will protect the contents of your pack from sharp ice tools, rock and ski edges. The X-SHIELD back system sits close to the body with a pre-curved back panel, this means that your balance is not adversely affected, making climbing and precarious snow ridge traverses feel a little more secure. The hip belt, while being quite minimalist will carry a surprising amount of weight comfortably and features a durable aluminium buckle that's easy to operate with gloves while covered in snow.

The Latok packs feature a simple roll top closure which keeps the elements out and opens out wide enough to get a proper look into the pack when rooting around for gear. Over the roll top closure is a compression / rope carry strap that is detachable. There are two Headlocker Ice axe carry attachments for technical climbing axes and down the sides are removable compression straps that double as an A-Frame ski carry system, or roll mat carry. There is an internal zipped pocket for valuables that is also accessible from the outside of the pack.
