Various bacterial diseases can be carried by ticks; these diseases are dangerous and can spread from pet to pet, resulting in horrible outbreaks in shelters.

Rescues are often without the necessary funds to buy flea and tick preventive care which tends to run on the pricy side.

PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) helped this sweet cat, who at just a few months old, entered the facility with fleas. Thanks to GreaterGood and their donors, we were able to provide her with flea and tick medicine! Now she and her owner are happy and flea free. 

Lucky Dog Animal's Rescue took in this handsome boy, that was picked up as a stray by animal control. Covered in sores, missing most of his hair and on top of all that Heartworm positive. The rescue immediately started him on Nexgard Plus. He is finishing up his heartworm treatment and his hair is filling in a bit more each day!
