Product Overview

The MultiPlus 24/1200/25-16 combines a pure sine wave inverter with a high-efficiency battery charger and an automatic transfer switch. When AC input is available (shore power or generator), the unit charges the battery bank and passes power through to connected loads. When AC input is lost or disconnected, it switches to inverter mode in under 20 milliseconds, which is fast enough to keep most sensitive equipment running without interruption.

The 25A charger uses Victron's adaptive three-stage algorithm, which adjusts charge behaviour based on battery usage patterns. This is particularly useful in installations where charge time and battery longevity matter, such as live-aboard boats, off-grid cabins or backup systems that cycle regularly. The 16A transfer switch rating sets the maximum AC input current the unit will accept, which should be factored in when sizing the supply cable and circuit protection.
