In this case, it is the Peruvian desert and its colors that serve as Jorge's inspiration for this superlative ruana created with 100% baby alpaca, the very soft fleece from the first shearing of the season. The shoulders and upper back of the wrap are milk white, but further down that tone combines with an almond shade to create streaks reminiscent of a desert dune landscape. Crimson red along the ruana's borders provides a brilliant contrast and helps accentuate the design's elongated bottom corners.
