Mambo, born in 1969 in Santiago, Chile, is a French artist who has lived in Buenos Aires, Paris, Los Angeles, and now resides in Provence. A versatile and expressive creator, Mambo explores multiple artistic styles—from graphic abstractions (Brainology series), to gestural and geometric painting (Strokes), and minimalist, caricature-like portraits (Humans). His work centers around the human mind and behavior, translating emotions, thoughts, and reactions into visual symbols through bold lines and vivid color.
He has exhibited internationally in cities like Paris, Tokyo, New York, London, and São Paulo, and has collaborated with major institutions and brands such as the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Prada, PSG, and Vans. In France, he's also recognized for his graffiti with La Force Alphabétique, his exhibitions with the 9th Concept collective, and for creating visuals for the satirical TV show Groland on Canal+.
Mambo also works closely with the music label Pura Vida, designing album covers for artists like Cuts, the Beach Diggin' compilations, and collaborations with Laurent Garnier, Thierry Marx, Snoop Dogg, and Agnès b.
