If you already use a field feeder this can give good savings. In practical trials the use of the Toppa-Net, over a 5ft round or square bale inside a field feeder, has shown savings of 50% on hay and much less mess around the feeder. With the cost of hay - that is a big saving. The mesh size is 2" and is made to fit a 5ft 3" stock feeder. It slows the greedy feeders giving a more natural rate of consumption and they can eat to the very bottom. It is simple to fit. Place the net over the bale and then simply weave the loose cords in and out of the bars. Do not loop around the top rim as this will stop the net dropping as the bale reduces. Secure both ends through the metal ring provided. Only half the net needs to be pulled back to replace the bale.
