Ultra Boost V2 Coils

The Lost Vape Ultra Boost V2 replacement coils are the standard coil range for the Orion Q-Ultra, URSA Quest, Thelema Pod, Gemini Hybrid, Ultra Boost X Tank, URSA Pod Tank, and BTB 100W Kit. They are also known as UB Ultra coils. The range comes in five variants spanning DTL and MTL vaping, sold in packs of five.

The V2 designation refers to a built-in AFC ring on the base of each coil, which lets you adjust the airflow directly on the coil without changing the device settings. All variants use mesh heating elements, organic cotton wicking, and press-fit installation. M1, M3, and M4 variants are cross-compatible with the original Ultra Boost (V1) coils.

What Is the V2 AFC Ring?

The key difference between the Ultra Boost V2 and the original Ultra Boost coils is the adjustable airflow control ring built into the base of each V2 coil. Rotating the ring opens or closes the airflow slots, letting you fine-tune the draw tightness on each coil independently of the device. This is useful if you switch between coil variants and prefer a different airflow setting for each one without having to adjust the device itself. The AFC ring is present on all five V2 variants.

M1 Coil, 0.3Ω, 30-40W

The M1 is a 0.3Ω mesh coil rated for 30-40W and is designed for a balanced DTL vape. It gives a good combination of flavour and vapour output at mid-range wattages. The M1 is one of the most widely used variants in the Ultra Boost range and is cross-compatible with the original V1 Ultra Boost coils. Use 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids for best results. Start at 30W when breaking in a new coil.

M2 Coil, 0.6Ω, 20-28W

The M2 is a 0.6Ω mesh coil rated for 20-28W. It runs at lower wattage than the M1 and produces less heat, giving a slightly cooler DTL draw with good flavour. The M2 is a practical choice if you want a DTL vape without pushing the battery hard, or if your device performs better at moderate wattages. Use 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids. The M2 is not cross-compatible with V1 coils.

M3 Coil, 0.15Ω, 40-70W

The M3 is a 0.15Ω mesh coil rated for 40-70W and is the highest-wattage option in the Ultra Boost V2 range. It is designed for cloud-focused DTL vaping and produces the most vapour of the five variants. At 40-70W it requires a capable device and a high-VG e-liquid of 70%+ to wick properly. The M3 is cross-compatible with the original V1 Ultra Boost coils. Start at the lower end of the wattage range when priming a new coil.

M4 Coil, 0.2Ω, 40-60W

The M4 is a 0.2Ω mesh coil rated for 40-60W. It sits between the M3 and M1 in wattage and is also designed for DTL vaping. The M4 gives a warm, dense vape at high power without requiring the very wide airflow that the M3 runs best on. Use 70%+ VG shortfill e-liquids. The M4 is cross-compatible with the original V1 Ultra Boost coils.

MTL Coil, 1.0Ω, 8-15W

The MTL coil is a 1.0Ω mesh option rated for 8-15W. It is the only MTL coil in the Ultra Boost V2 range and is designed for nic salts and 50/50 e-liquids at low wattages. The airflow ring on the MTL coil can be closed down for a tighter, more cigarette-like draw. It is suitable for vapers who want to use the same compatible device for both DTL and MTL sessions by swapping coils and adjusting the AFC ring. The MTL coil is not cross-compatible with V1 coils.

If you own a different Lost Vape device, check whether it uses the Ultra Boost V2 coil format before ordering. The V3 and V4 Ultra Boost coil versions are separate ranges and are not the same as V2, though some devices can use multiple generations. The original Ultra Boost (V1) M1, M3, and M4 coils are interchangeable with their V2 equivalents.
