This 2022 McLaren Vale Touriga is sourced from our Estate plantings in Sellicks Hill, located to the South of McLaren Vale region, the wine is made in a joven style (with no oak influence), showing lifted aromatics of red berry fruits, red licorice, nutmeg, and black tea. The palate is medium-bodied with great vibrancy and texture, balanced by dry, savoury tannins. 

The Touriga wine is a thick-skinned, intensely coloured grape, Touriga Nacional (abbreviated to Touriga) has been made famous by the Portuguese fortified wine expression, ‘Vintage Port’ (VP). In Australia, its history has largely also been lined with fortified winemaking, however with careful canopy management and selective harvesting, Touriga’s high aromaticity and vibrant colour can be equally suited to elegant still wine expressions.
