The Solis S6-EH3P50K-H is a 50kW three-phase hybrid inverter for commercial and industrial solar PV and battery storage installations. It runs on 400V AC at 50Hz, supports a high voltage battery range of 150V to 800V DC, and is designed for sites where large-scale solar generation, battery storage and backup power are needed in one system.

With 4 MPPT trackers, dual independent battery ports, DC and AC coupling support, and the ability to parallel multiple units, it suits new-build commercial systems as well as retrofits and system expansions.

Product Overview

The S6-EH3P50K-H is not a standard residential product. It is designed for commercial buildings, warehouses, agricultural sites, industrial premises and any three-phase installation where a single 50kW unit is needed to handle significant solar input, large battery storage and reliable backup power simultaneously.

The high voltage battery architecture, 150V to 800V DC, is the key differentiator from lower-tier commercial inverters. Higher battery voltage means lower operating current for the same power output, which reduces cable cross-sections, minimises heat losses and simplifies thermal management across the whole battery installation. This inverter is not compatible with standard 48V battery systems.

Dual battery ports allow two separate battery strings to be connected independently, which gives flexibility in battery sizing, phased expansion and redundancy. Each port handles up to 70A charge and discharge current. DC coupling means solar panels can charge the battery directly through the inverter without going via the AC bus, improving round-trip efficiency.

The 160% overload capability for two seconds in off-grid mode is sufficient to start most motor-driven commercial loads, including pumps, compressors and refrigeration equipment, without tripping the inverter.

Installation Notes

This inverter is high voltage battery compatible only. It is not suitable for 48V battery systems. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer with commercial solar experience. Three-phase grid connection requires G99 compliance (UK).
