A big, bold carved gold ring styled as a cameo. Drawing inspiration from antiquity, the ring features the portrait of a Greco-Roman woman in profile, complete with detailed hair and a diadem and robe that are diamond-cut to catch the light and shimmer. Unlike classic versions, in which the bust is carved in a stone, or recessed into either metal or stone as an intaglio, this piece takes a modern spin by rendering the face in low relief directly in gold, with negative space cut outs that enhance the texture. Sturdy despite a hollowed back and comfortable despite a bold construction, this is a lovely wearing statement ring.

Good vintage condition with moderate wear, including moderate evidence of resizing that has resulted in a slightly out of round band.
