This necklace is a one-of-a-kind design from our Kumihimo Silk line which combines vintage pearls and handwoven silk from Japan. It features hand braided 100% natural red vermillion silk and a vintage saltwater cultured akoya pearl at the center.

The silk is hand woven in Kanazawa Japan and is of the highest quality. This necklace features an 8-strand weave pattern called "Edo-uchi-himo". The silk cord is petite and measures 1mm.

It is set in solid contemporary sterling silver and is paired with a vintage 7.50mm Japanese saltwater cultured akoya pearl. It has good luster, rosy pink overtones and a moderate amount of blemishes. 

It is an adjustable length and ranges up to 19 inches. Length can be adjusted by gently pulling on the ends. The clasp is stamped "925" for solid sterling silver. Additional lengths, colors and pearls are available. Contact Us to inquire about a custom order.
