Product Overview

The MultiPlus 48/1200/13-16 combines a 1200VA pure sine wave inverter with a 13A multi-stage battery charger. The 48V input voltage makes it appropriate for systems where a higher-voltage battery bank is used to reduce cable losses and improve efficiency over longer cable runs. The 230V AC output is compatible with standard UK and European appliances and loads.

The PowerAssist feature is particularly useful in installations where the available AC supply (from a generator or shore power connection) is limited. When load demand exceeds what the AC input can supply, the unit draws the deficit from the battery bank, preventing generator overload or tripped breakers. The automatic transfer switch has a near-instantaneous changeover, which protects computers, inverters and other electronics that are sensitive to supply interruptions.

VE.Bus connectivity allows this unit to be configured in parallel with additional MultiPlus units to increase output capacity, or in a split-phase or three-phase arrangement.
